Painted my calipers

Just put the last coat of paint on my calipers this morning. I ended up just doing 4 coats. They look pretty good. I'll also post more pictures once they're on the car. I'm putting them on later on this evening. I didn't have a 10mm so I couldn't do the back ones yet. Only the fronts so far. I'll do the backs in a few days

They're still real shiny because I took those pictures only seconds after the final coat.

did you forget to primer them? you might end up having to do a second coat when they chip.

I was told not to primer them. I just did 4 coats. It should be fine. I also edited the pictures and cut out all the dog**** incase you people are wondering what I was talking about. Basically there was alot of **** on the porch in the pictures and I didn't realize it until after I posted the pictures on here No more dookie now though

Actually - 'claimer makes a really good point. It doesn't look like the paint is sticking very well to the calipers at all. I definitely would recommend some sanding and primer... ...and I can tell you right now, you've made my choice as to whether to spray paint or brush mine - the brush wins.

well I think the one picture is of the one I messed up on. I coated it way to thick on the initial spray. The other one looks pretty much perfect. On the very first one I did I kinda caked it on to much and it started to drip a little.

See, this caliper is the one I caked it on too thick instead of taking my time.

man, they'd better pay attention to that quake study, or they're going to have a lot of injured kids.

in other news, yes, those look pretty good, but the colour could be more solid.

Honestly they're better looking in person, the picture, mixed with the flash, and mixed with them JUST GETTING a coat of spray made them look really bad in the pictures. They look good in person, honestly. I'll just have to wait till their 100% dry and on the car then I'll take pictures for approval
