I put nitrous on my RA.

It's all hooked up except for the wet side of the system. I need to know from someone where you tapped into the fuel system to supply the wet side. When I put nitrous on my escort gt I just teed off the fuel line after the fuel filter, but I'd rather not butcher the RA like that. Is there a test port on our fuel rail? I want to do it as clean as possible without cutting or modifying anything very much. Any info would be appreciated. I want to get this done so I can see what she'll do at the track!

Also, how much shot do you guys think our fuel pump/injectors can handle? I'm not running Zex, its NOS brand.. so I dont have the fancy little box or FPR. I am also debating on what method to use to activate it. In the past I have used WOT switch, but that is difficult to use when your launching the car. It's pointless to use spray in first or second gears because wheel spin is ridiculous. Let me know what you think.

Thats speaking like an @$$. Bad Tuning on Nitrous = Engine Kaboom.
Have you done any internals on your engine also? This will help decide how big of a shot you will use.

I'm gonna have to disagree. imporperly used nitrous= kaboom. my friends celica has had 9 months of nitrous and it's an older body style not the new body style. the engine has over 100k miles. it's probably got 10-15 bottles thru it. He checks his cylinder compression every so often and everything is holding well.

No, the engine is stock. I probably wont go over a 50 shot, but I'm sure our engine can handle 75 easily. I'm just nervous about running a dry system because I don't trust the injectors to add the correct amount of fuel. Yes, I realize that intake, exhaust and all that will be better to have with nitrous but right now I'm going for sleeper. I have the entire nitrous system hidden from view, even from under the car. I'll go out and get a pic of my engine bay later and show you. The nitrous nozzle is mounted under the intake near the TB, so its pointing up from underneath, you cant see it at all.

That's cool. just use black wire loom, and electircal tape on the end of any of the lines and put the selinoid under something so, they are hidden from plan view. that'll keep everything stock looking. My friend made his nitrous nozzle look like an AIT sensor on the intake tube of his car. most people have no clue that he has nitrous. it's great.

Yea that's what I did. Black wire loom works great. I ran the main line through the frame of the car to the engine bay, and wire loomed from there. The only way to tell I have spray is to look in the trunk. But, I'm thinking of making a fake speaker box to hide the bottle in.

Moab - I'm not sure WHAT you know about n20 but a) your statement is irrelevant to his question and b) is stupid. The dude is asking a question so he doesn't damage his engine. I really wish people would stop posting retarded, overly opinionated and uneducated comments!!

Dallas, Do a search bud. I think I saw that question addressed before.

i know this has been done before, but the people who did it said 'wahoo it works!' then never came back. either 1) they are having too much fun with it that they have no time to talk about it or 2) they blew the engine and didnt wana hear the 'i told u so's.

either way, if our stock interntal can hold 7lb of boost /w no prob, they should be fine with a 50shot. just dont hit it after 5k RPM! and dont do it on the way home from work for fun however, I would get a SRI or CAI so you can feed the engine more air. its not gonna take away from the sleeper aspect. otherwise, you may get a little too rich on your mix. the exhaust should be fine, though.

There is a guy on here by the name of mitsutech005. He has a 75 wet shot on his RA, but I can't get in touch with him. He said it ran fine on 75. I forget what his 1/4 times were but it wasnt too shabby. I will probably wind up figuring this crap out for myself and posting the results so we all know what to do. Maybe a how-to on "installing nitrous".

[B]don't use nitrous on your ra it's dangerous for the internals. your valves, head and rods are to thin for that,
