I'm curious too as to how much a shop might charge for the install of RRM's turbo kit.

Yea or someone with some knowledge do it themselves and have someone else tune it?

I dont think installing the turbo is going to be extremley hard with some good instructions, the hardest part would be getting the propper tune.

i thought one of the good things about the rrm kit was that it was already tuned for the ra, did'nt think u needed to get it tuned.

That is true it is tuned to run, but the only way to really tell for sure is to dyno tune. I wonder how much maintenace goes into a turbo vehicle like oil changes ect.. I've got the money for turbo kit just way to worried about having problems with the kit (not that I don't trust RRM just FI in general)

on average most people can get a 1-2 HP on a tune for a car that has been turbo'd. RRM is prolly pretty precise with their tuning, but prolly not 100% cause every car is a little differnt. Cheers to RRM though for hookin us ralliart guys with the best aftermarket equpiment possible =)

Nobody seemed to answer the question. I believe RRM charges around $700 to install their kit. Expect other shops to be a bit more expensive ($800-$1000). Figure about 10 hours of labor at around $80+/hour.

If you do it yourself, two people can have it done in a day.

I asked around shops in Vancouver, Canada, approx $700-1000CND depending on if it needs modification to the body for FMIC

Front bumper must be modified, but I doubt it's that complicated.

You have to remove a bit of material, and the foglights, to allow room for the intercooler piping. The foglight housing can be modified to fit back in with the piping present.

again somewhat off topic but with adamRA, how much more maintenance is involved..? and even if well kept are you destined to a shorter engine life?
