bogging problem

I have the rrm turbo kit and the last few weeks i've had a serious bogging problem. When I really get on it the car bogs between 3500-4500rpm. The turbo is still spooled all the way, but the car almost pauses for a few seconds and then goes again. I don't think it is the clutch because the rpms aren't going crazy they just stay in the same spot. Can anyone help me out.

thanks
jack

yeah i have an auto meter a/f gauge, and it shows the car as running rich even when i'm bogging so i don't know if it would be a fuel cut.

Don't regap your plugs if they're the stock ones, since they're iridium.

I've actually had the same thing start happening to my car. Mainly when cruising with the RPMs around 2000-3000rpm. I'm pretty sure it's my spark plugs, even though they're 15,000 miles short of the scheduled service interval. I have new plugs on the way and am running seafoam through my gas tank to make sure my injectors are clean. I also checked and cleaned my PCV to ensure that wasn't the issue.

Check for leaks in the turbo tract. If theres a boost leak your car wont spool that fast and the aditional fuel will cause bog. I recomend you to buy a quality A/F wide band gauge like Innovate or AEM if its too expensive buy at least a Greedy pirometer gauge. If you dont have even a boost gauge you really wont know whats happening and you car will suffer..! Jejeje..

I checked the spark plugs and they looked alright, but i may buy some new ones just to see what happens.

As to boost leaks i don't believe i have one. The car is fully spooled during the bogging, and i do have a boost gauge and it reads between 6 and 7 pounds. I'm really not sure what it could be. I also had a problem a while back with my car going into a limp mode that is now starting up again, so I am completely confused with what's going on with my car. No one really seems to know why that is happening either.

This is part of the tunning process there are so many variables that can lead to the problem. First you have to identify if the bogging is caused by a lean condition or too rich fuel mixture. The easiest and safest way to know is with a wide band gauge.

hey otter the code that comes up is P2173, and Dangerous i believe that most of the people who bought RRM's kit did not buy a wideband.
