We are using some proprietary hardware to do the reflash. The tactrix cable is not capable of doing the job because they use a proprietary cpu and it doesn't use the same standards for the reflash.

I've been disassembling stuff pretty much full time. As of today I've got 242h in on it. Still working on adjusting the open loop/ closed loop values. It's complicated because you can't just change one value since it's referenced about 15 different places in the code and I have to make sure I understand what absolutely every table does before just blindly changing load values. In short it's a lot of work to design these reflashes.

Keep the good work..! Anyway, lets see how I'm following this, so you are saying that through the tactrix cable we will not be able to reflash the ecu as it has some codes that doesnt allow it, and the tool you are using consist of a hardware conected to de stock ECU. This hardware is a P-back or just an interface for you to use for example with "ecuflash" and allows you to burn, retrieve and save changes. Very interesting... So will yoube able to emulate the hardware in a pc and use the tactrix conection?

The tactrix cable is merely a piece of hardware for talking to something. I am using a proprietary piece of hardware and software - actually just a netburner module with some level converters so I can push the updates over ethernet. The processor used has some pretty specific and proprietary instructions on how to read and write the flash. They were hand-coded because I wasn't able or willing to spend the $15,000 that Mitsubishi wants for their developer kit/compiler.

I will be designing a custom piece of hardware to do the reflashes so it can be shipped out to the end user but that will take some time. Initially, just mail-in reflashes.

...but, right now with Open Port 2.0 and
software Updates (ECUFlash & EvoScan),
Can I reflash my 2006 RA USDM ?
right ?

I've read about how hard is to Flash or remap them.
I thought it was in other regions.
What about those sold in USA (& territories) ?

I'm not getting what your asking...this thread was started by hackish, who wrote UV Tune software...it has since been renamed Fastworks...it is a flash tool, ROM editor, and datalogger, all in one software suite. It uses a tactrix openport 2.0 cable.

Hackish is not affiliated with ECUflash or evoscan. There is a way to reflash your ECU with ECUflash, but you need a definition file. A user by the name of Merlin writes them, but they are not free. Myself I prefer Fastworks, because it's easy to use, and everything is included in one program...

Just thought it would be nice to put a video to it. I'm going to build a launch control feature similar to the honda stuff. As you can see the from the photos in the video the piggyback has been removed and it's only running on the factory ECU.
