custom manifold

so my friends got a turbo manifold that he's giving off of his vw. im going to try to take my stock flange and switch it out with the one thats one the turbo manifold. ive got a t3t4 turbo and so does he. im kinda new at this so what do you guys think? have any tips or suggestions for me? thanks for your time

Post up a pic of what your working with... Measure for clearance height, depth, and width. If that's good it comes to the metals your trying to weld , which need to be similar.

ok cool. good info! he is going to give me the turbo manifold Wednesday so it will be then until im able to post pics, but ill have some on here as soon as i can! thanks for the advice!

most OEM turbo manifolds are cast "log" style manifolds, that is a tricky weld, you can't just mig or tig it...i'm assuming you'll be using a regular steel flange...

would probably be easier to make one from scratch
