I'm getting conflicting info concerning intake manifolds.

Seeing that I'm going with the Rad Lite (on it's way to my house ), are there any aftermarket intake manifolds available?

My confusion is: an aftermarket intake manifold for the X wouldn't fit a TD04 turbo like the Ralliart OEM or Rad Lite correct?

Or does the intake manifold not mate up to the turbo and an X aftermarket manifold CAN be used?

I feel like an idiot for asking these questions but I'm getting mixed info. Need the peeps to clear this one up.

 

Because I have an X FMIC/BPV and all my Ultimate Racing UICP/LICP are for X FMIC, does that technically mean I can use any aftermarket (or OEM) X manifold since it should mate up to the engine AND the LICP?

 

I don't think you're thinking of the intake manifold ("front" of engine bay, lower IC pipe->throttle body->intake manifold). I think you're thinking of the exhaust manifold ("rear" of engine bay, engine->exhaust manifold->turbo).

Can any aftermarket (or OEM) EvoX intake OR exhaust manifold mate up to a TD04 turbo?

Based on what I understand of the similarities between RA turbo and X turbo, if you have an X FMIC set-up on the RA, shouldn't any intake manifold that works on the X work on the RA in that case?

I'd really like to add an aftermarket intake manifold to my upcoming Rad Lite, even a port/polish OEM X.

I just want to know if that works.
