4g69-T Project / 06 Lancer ES
Hi everyone, just thought i would share with you all what i have done to my car so far and what the future plans are.
Current:
Turbo: Garrett Gt28/71r - rated to 450hp
390cc injectors (for now)
255lhp Walbro fuel pump
RPW - Manifold, down pipe, braided oil lines, cam gear etc..
evo 7 bov
3" stainless steel exaust system
High flow cat
3" Varex Muffler (can be remotely silenced)
Haltech E8 ecu
Custom made 3" stainless steel intercooler piping
300x600 cooler (painted black)
Future plans:
720cc injectors
Return fuel line
Eagle H-Beam Rods
Wiesco forged pistons
AMR bolts
RPW camshaft
RPW cam gear
Forged Crankshaft (if required. opinions welcome)
Turbosmart 38mm wastegate
RPW fuel rail
LSD
Brake upgrade (2 piston / slottered rotors (RPW)
BC Coilovers
New wheels (unsure yet) - Maybe 17" KOYA CR TEK
At the moment the car is making 171wkw on 9psi, but my goal is 260wkw. The build will most likely start in 4 months give or take.
I need to know if anyone has done such a project before. My main concern is, if i need to change the crankshaft to handle 260wkw, and has anyone had issues with the gearbox pushing this power? Recommendations welcome

I feel pretty confident that you will need to upgrade the turbo before the crankshaft, although shaving , knife edging, balancing , and cryo treating it will help. Can you help us out with the conversion process of your cars current power? I found this site to convert it but I'm still not sure of which is needed to get an accurate translation for us in the states. America is the only country that doesn't use the metric system and I don't know why.

4G69, I have a similar engine here in a car at the shop and we have a sprint 500 haltech unit that we are trying to instal to the car, but with limited luck in getting it started. On this Haltech E8 that u got to run on your car how did you wire the trigger wire to the engine?
Did you use the 36-1 crank wheel to connect to it or are you using the OEM crank trigger sensor and if so what trigger patter in the software are you utilizing?
On the injectors on this engine does the coils have a built in ignitors in them or is the Ignitors in this engine some where else?
It would be awesome if you could shed some light on the topic, since we are at a bind here at the shop at the moment.
Thanks in advance!
