Exclamation Corner Speed, Exist Power...

Is there anyway to get more power when comming out of a corner? I always drop it into 2nd when making a turn or comming into a turn and as Im making it or finishing it, I get on the gas and its just not as fast as taking 2nd to redline in a straightline. What's the difference? I want more speed after making the turns, how do I go about this...?

the force your car is moving in is now in 2 directions so the force is distributed. you're just gonna have to make more power with traction to match. an open dif doesn't help either.

You may need to go all the way down to first to get max power going through a slow corner, but you better practice your rev matching first!

I did say a slow corner, but yes an LSD and better tires help, I noticed a big diff just swapping tires.

first off, what kind of turn are you talking about....

second off, i would never take a turn in 1st unless its EXTREMELY TIGHT or you have one hell of a laggy turbo.

other then that on stock turbo you should never have a problem finding power in 2nd gear on a turn....NEVER........unless you are sliding through it in neutral like a dumbass and then shifting back into gear to exit.......please dont tell me your doing this

Find the apex and put your foot on all the way on the throttle until it comepletely pushes you out then lift slightly..........thats all the help i can give you......in a nice curve/turn......you should find yourseldf exiting in at least 3rd......not 1st or 2nd

quick shifter i don't think he has a turbo, but if he does i want it. the best thing for you is the lsd (limited slip differential) and better tires. i agree not to really use first for use in the turns on less its like a 2mph turn or something. but good luck and try to rpm match

Take the corner faster, so you're higher in second gear, and get better tires so you don't go sliding someplace bad.

just learn how to heal toe through the corner. There has been posts on how to do it in the past but all you do is put you right foot on the break and the gas at the same time so that your in controll of the turn and your keeping your rpm's high then slide your foot off of the break as you exit the turn. This takes practis and it kind of hard but you will have all of the speed and power you need.
