header back exhaust

i was goin to do 2.5 from cat back with magnaflow, but now hearing everyone i was thinking of doing from header back 2.5 with hi flow cat and magnaflow muffler. alot of people are saying ours 2.25 is fine, but i'm still a lil hesitant about that.

2.25" is fine, unless you're going turbo. Just replace the downpipe.

Agreed. There is little to no gain by switching for a NA RA. It is to bad though about the CEL prob (if you want to call it that) with the down pipe. If it wasnt for the CEL, I would be interested in one. Hopfully they will figure out a fix to prevent the CEL.

Another agree here, there really is no need to get any bigger than 2.25. On my old eclipse i upgraded to a full 2.5 inch from a 2.18 inch and I didnt recognize a thing as far as power.

Somebody will figure this problem out, just that at this point, nobody has bothered to tackle the problem. The base Lancer guys have a way to trick the ECU into thinking that the cat is there.

I wonder if there's an O2 simulator that would work with our car. Do we have the same O2 sensors as the base lancers?

it was bass type loud..not weed wacker..the only thing is when having no resonator is that when the car is not warmed up yet and your driving around..you'll hear a ringing vibration sound in the exhaust (muffler shop said it'll do that)..but once the engine is warmed up it goes away..
