Quick connect harness for piggyback ECU?

Who would be willing to pay extra (upto 100 bucks) for a piggyback ECU from RMM that comes complete with a quick connect harness? Benefits would be much easier install (no cutting/soldering of wires) plus if you have to take the car in for service, you could easily pull it out leaving no trace for your dealer to get bent out of shape over.

See the following thread for initial discussion on this:

Talking Hell yeah!

If it's a full harness extention, I'm down! I've been looking all over for one so I can hook up my emanage w/o cutting into my main. If you can get it made before April, sign me up. You want paypal or money order?!?!

I would be VERY interested in an adapter and happy to spend the extra bones to get it. Im lazy, and I'd rather leave as little evidence as possible of its existence in the first place.

I would be down for sure not that I am incompetent, because I do not want to void my warranty.

It has nothing to do with that.

1. First of all, it's convenient for an easy install/removal

2. Smog testing removal

3. Warranty issues removal

4. Testing HP gains of mods without "piggy" influence

5. Turbo upgrade!!!

I'm sure there's other reasons, but incompetent is the least of them!

Laziness is a good one.

I'd be up for it. I've shyed away from that upgrade b/c of the reasons that Retro listed. But if there was a easy way to connect and disconnect then that would be a great relief to many of our problems.

As I said convenient... Not that I'm incompetent, but it's just easier in so many ways... Warranty...
God forbid I total this thing... get a new one & throw the piggy back on that & not lose $500.00
Or if I want to sell the car I can take the Piggy off & sell it on the boards, etc...

It's just more convenient...!!!

i have installed and uninstalled it more than a few times....is it not that hard, and to charge an extra $100 is something that people like me would not want to pay...

retro, i agree the quick connect is not a bad idea, but most poeple will not pay $100 extra, at to why i said make it optional

Yup, make it optional - then there's no issue for those who don't want it.

Convenience is usually a nice thing. End of story. I've not known too many people that would rather a harder way to accomplish the same thing. I don't have a soldering Iron, nor too many friends that run shops to help me out. Nor would I be too excited about removing and resoldering it when and if necessary. If that makes me incompetent I'm all for the label.

Don't get me wrong, the guys who are down for adding /removing it all the time are probably justified in wondering what all the hub-ub over a harness is about. I agree with making it an optional piece. Those who don't need it don't buy it.
