Ralliart H.P

I have noticed that a lot of cars are claiming to make approx 160h.p+ is this correct or is this just a guesstimate due to whatever mods have been claimed by the manufacturer, reason being is that the 2.4lt that we are getting is supposed to have 120hp at the wheels in stock form, so I am wondering if we are getting the watered down version compared to yours.

thanks in advance for your help

yeah sorry this is for the Australian version - we are getting the same motor with the same specs as yours... I was just trying to work out why most people on this forum were getting the higher hp reading and was just wanting to try and clarify things up a bit as to how come you have that higher hp.... also taking into consideration that we have a higher octane fuel over here than you do ours is 98RON and yours is about 91-93RON

Lowest I've heard a Ralliart doing at the wheels is about 132, on a Mustang dyno. Stock RA's have dyno'd as high as 150.

Has someone actually dyno'd the Aussie RA, or are you guys just guessing based on the flywheel number?

Yea, the lowest I've seen any of the 05's is in the mid 130 range. Never 120.

According to the Mitsu Australia website, the car has:

115kw @ 5750
220nm @ 3500

Throw that into a converter and you get

154.22 hp @ 5750
162.24 lb/ft @3500

vs. US/Canada

162 hp @ 5750
162 lb/ft @4000

Interesting that the Aus spec is lower HP and the torque peaks at a different RPM

Probably due to different emission requirements in the two countries.

The most common one is 145-150whp/trq. Here is UR stock dyno pull.

No the car is N/A and yes it is the 2.4lt with the sohc 55mm t/b ect... from pics that I have seen you guys posting of your engines they look identical....

The car is still very new and Idoubt if anyone has put a car on the dyno due to probably not even done the first 1500klm yet....

I am not overly concerned with the h.p that our have got as I know once we start playing we should be seeing some fairly decent h.p and torque mainly due to the engine capacity.... I remain fairly optomistic that we should be able to obtain nearly 170+hp atw with some good tuning via the piggy back and some basic bolt on mods....

But it does sound that are emissions control is much more tighter which will explain why our base line tune is falling short on the figures that our U.S counterparts are recieving... but the other confusing thing is your cars are tuned to 89 ron were ours will be tuned fr 91ron not that that will make a big difference
