i just got the Injen CAI installed and man, can u feel the difference. not only does it feel alot faster, but the sound it makes is..... crazy. i knew before getting it that their is a differnt sound to it but when u floor it, it sounds like my car is gonna explode. i have an automatic too, did anybody have trouble witht theirs? is there anyway to tone the noise down and would a new exhaust help?

I also got the injen cai today and man , at first I was a little dissapointed but as soon the computer learned the cai the car changed to a different one.It sounds too loud for my taste and yes its sounds like it will explode the engine plus you can hear the air stream been sucked , but the difference its there and i feel no loss of low end at this moment , but I will work on the sound tomorrow! It makes a terrific combination with the udpulley!!!! Thanks to PR MIVEC for his help and the technical suport on this and to Andres (Pito) for the installation (near 20 minutes).

you guys should reset the ECU by disconnecting negative from battery for 15-20 mins to avoid any problems such as low milages and so on. However; congrats on the intake

Why don't you post a picture of your Franken-intake though, Ralli04Art? I put up pictures of my overpriced but effective intake long ago. Btw, yours doesn't sound like it's gonna explode because you have all that extra downforce. :P

I got my injen CAI before they had a seperate for A/T and M/T. I don't know if it's different now but it even says in my instructions that you have to take the hole front bumper off to get the cold air extension on.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO REMOVE THE FRONT BUMPER. Ignore the fact that the instructions tell you to.

Haha, if I would've removed my bumper, I woulda been pissed...and felt like an idiot. Just take out the plastic panels from in front of the wheel. There should be 3. The side one, you can either cut a hole in or leave off. I left mine off and drove through New Orleans 4 days after Katrina (to get home) and my filter didn't get wet so it's all good. Just make SURE you buy the bypass valve, even if you live in the desert. It's a necessity.
