Exclamation Installed IM!!!

to say it simply KICK @$$!!!!

Gains throughout more so high end. drove the car with 3ppl and our tools today on the expressway and still was passing cars with ease. it also amplifies the sound of my intake. i'll be getting it to the dyno after the holidays but my guess is 7whp. hope to see a little more once it gets tuned and also have the cam gear from RPW thats yet to be tuned.

Also got my CF hood on and that made a difference. put it on before the IM and felt it when the engines hot. between weight loss and getting cold air to my SRI i love it. plus it looks sweet.

So the intake manifold really makes a hell of a difference?

It made a huge difference. don't know how much it is amplified by having intake and header back exhaust to compliment it, but great gains.

As for pics, i usually work all hours of daylight. so over this 4day weekend ill bust out the camera since i have the new hood and spoiler on also.

P.S. SRI plus vented hood=SWEETNESS more torque and probably running the same air temps as a CAI.

Cool, I'll probably head down that road too, but I don't want to have to remove the whole header again

Which IM did you buy?

^^i dont know if thats b/c you think its a high# or low but either way i think its higher then most will see whatever it is b/c i have the full intake/exhaust setup. and on our cars it makes a big diff.

its RRM's manifold (didnt know anyone else had one to be honest) my whole setup performance wise is about $3,000 US. check my registry for the list. theirs also a dyno that i did a few mods back so when i get the new one figure another 10+- HP and TQ. many have asked why the #s are low, i drive an auto....

but from where autos start to what i have now is sick and the #s don't do me any justice. my father-in-law is fully convinced that my next mod should be wings b/c its fast enough to fly.

Also kudos to RRM since besides my cam gears (which they dont make) and my intake, the car is all their parts.

I bet you that sonovabeeachh has a top end from hell. Not nice when running big geared autos on top end, when they get on the power that gear lasts forever

yes evo8. pics tomorow, promise.

And the low end isnt nearly as bad as everyone seems to think. it still holds its own off the line, but yeah put her in a topend power situation and its just sick. driving down the highway and then flooring it (never topping speed limits or racing of course) the car takes off like its off the line all over again.

Figured I'd bump this thread. I just spent a few hours (I'm inefficient in the garage due to having cable TV out there ) removing my intake manifold. Tomorrow, it's going to a friend's shop (www.paradigmperformance.net) to be ported and polished, then I'll reinstall it tomorrow night or Friday. I'm excited, since this is the first major mod I've done to my car in awhile.

That thing is a major PITA to get out of the car, too. Lots of little crap to disconnect, and it's a VERY tight squeeze to pull it out. Not looking forward to putting it back in.
