Other than what everyone else has said, when you install the 'bottom' section of the CAI you'll need to remove a bunch of plastic fasteners. Use a small screwdriver and pry up on the center section or you'll strip them out. When I run both sections on mine I leave the vertical section out completely instead of sawing out an access port for the pipe. Oh if you want to practice poping the plastic fasteners first.. They are the same type as what holds the front (stock) intake feed to the front. Hope this helps and isn't too vague.

Good luck and enjoy!

Yes..
And you can also install the intake with the UDP. I dont see why it would be a problem, I did it that way.

Yes as a first stage, you'll see more hp with the cold air (long tube) than the short ram, even if makes more noise as a short ram In fact that's my current setup, short ram (snow happens) and the UDP. Beware falling gas mileage though as it's addictive.

Not if you're always flooring your car to hear the noticeably louder growl from the intake... speaking from experience.

I drive an auto, and with all my mods i still have found leaving my injen as a Short Ram is more effective. also this is the one option that i liked over the RRM intake (no offense ROCK.) If you drive a manual then you should disregard this statement completly, b/c you have enough low end that the cai would probably be better.

No offense but did you try our intake? If so, cool, if not it is opinion, like, I like girls but I only like Asian ones. No offense to white girls.White girls might make as much h.p. as Asian girls. I want to do side by side pulls on both of them

thx.
so no one felt like answering me.....??

the fact that your CAI is not a 2pc. isnt opinion it is a fact. I never said one was better HP wise then another i simply said that i liked the injen more b/c it can be both a SRI or CAI. I have loads of your parts and swear by all of them. if you had a CAI for autos that did this i would have bought yours b/c i think your products tend to be better.

alright. istalled it this morning wen i got it. i have it short ram. its been rainy here in illinois. great christmas weather huh:-/. i though short ram right now would be better. plus i had work and didnt have time to put in the longer tube. i do have a few questions if anyone can answer. and sorry im new to all this so.. ya

1. instruction. is there and installation guides for the injen intake with an 04 ralliart? or anything close as possable. just wanted to see it. especialy wen i decide to go cold air. because i had more questions about istalling the longer tube then the sri.

2. probloms installing it. the metal clamps that came with it. the smaller ones woulnt fit around the rubber connector from the short piping to the ... throttle body.. intake manifold... watever it is. i dont know my engines to well. anyways, i used the one big clamp for that then a small one for around the small tube. and then for connecting the short piping to filter i just connected 2 of the small ones. i tried doing it the correct way but there was no way they were fitting, they were too small, my dad tried as well.

3. is there really a larger gain between the sri and cai?

4. what weather coditions are good for the cai. is driving in the rain a big problem for the cai. on the pipe it says not to. on the otherhand i heard the only way to damage the engine was to basicly submerge the filter in watter. like if you happen to drive through a really deep puddle.

if any one could answer these it would be great

1. when i bought mine about two years ago it came with detailed instructions with a picture of every step being done on a ralliart. **these tell you to take the bumper off to put in the cai tube which you dont have to do**

2. its downpouring out so i didnt go out to look at what mine did.

3. The cai should be fine as long as it isnt submerged in water. splashing it is ok from what everyone tells me. I have a vented hood and it can rain right into my engine bay and this doesnt affect my intake at all.
