I agree.

However, after you install it, the first time MIVEC kicks in, you'll shed a tear of joy

Yeah, for that kind of cash you could of had your parents buy you the RRM CAI and UDP for about the same price and you would have gotten two presents and a lot better results. Nothing against Injen, I have one and it has served me well for almost 40K miles, but if I had a 5-speed I would have gone with the RRM CAI.

hey, i just hapend to hear that ingen had a better cai. the rrm cai is mostlikely pretty comparable as to hp gain. but, i just though, hey, the parents are paying for it. might as well go for the ingen.
plus. yes they also got me the udp aswell :-).

i was asking for the rrm catback exhaust but they said that it was too mutch money. cause i was planning on geting that and then buying the rrm cai myself. but this worked out. il just have to same up for the exhaust.

Ok, that makes more sense. Also, why did you order your intake from Pep Boys? Just curious because I picked my Injen up online for $230. I know it's your parents money but I'm sure they would have been happy to save $50.

The purchase is already made, no point in going on about the price. Just let him enjoy what he's getting.

i have some questions about the Injen CAI. i have one and for some reason everytime i go into a car wash (touchless mind you) i come out and when i am in second or so i give it a little and at 4500 the car starts to choke like its not getting any air. THe first time this happened to me i thought the filter was all wet and gummed up. so i took my tire off had a look at the filter and it was dry with very minimal dirt on it. it happens now everytime i go to a car wash, it will bogg for about 2 seconds, i will let off the gas then hit it again and its all clear again and works fine. any ideas wat this could be? its obvious that the filter isnt getting air for some reason. does this happen to anyone else with a CAI at all, please i am going nuts here.

thx.

Don't let them have all the fun. Make sure you get your hands in there! Half the fun is putting it in, the other half is starting her up and enjoying the fruit.

Installation is pretty simple...
The only real trouble you will have, if any, is dealing with the battery. I had to take the battery out when I installed my Injen CAI. From what I have read, some have done the install w/o taking out the battery. The Injen CAI comes with instructions so just take your time and have some fun!!!
