Clutch/FLywheel Q.???

I'm thinking that when my clutch finaly goes out that I should just upgrade to the RRM stage 2 with the lightweight flywheel. What should a shop charge for the labor?

There is a broad range: 300 on the low side to 1000 on the high side. My suggestion is to shop around.

I guess what I'm asking is if anyone knows what time it should take by the labor guide. Is this a 2 hr job 3 hr job etc.?

actually doing it the third time this week...

first time i put in the stage one clutch and lightweight flywheel
2nd time i fried the clutch (didnt obey the "break-in" period) and put the stock flywheel and clutch back in
now, the 3rd time, im putting in the RRM LSD and their flywheel, but i shaved down a couple extra pounds, so the flywheel should be better.

300 the first time, 200 2nd time. Dont know bout this time cuz im doin an axle and control arm along w/ the LSD.

but listen, please listen. When they say drive your car and baby your car for xxxx miles... BABY YOUR CAR!!! I blistered the first couple gears leaving the tranny shop, and i needed a new clutch 6 months later.... baby your clutch until they tell you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I’ve gotten the car I have finally graduated college, I went through a divorce, and mow I'm getting married and having a kid. Not much money left over for mods. Now that I'm settling down a little more I plan to just upgrade as parts ware out. When I hit my 60K mile maintenance later this year and I need to replace belts I will also replace the crank pulley with the under drive pulley, when my break pads were out I'm getting RRM pads. When my clutch goes I'll do all the tranny stuff and motor mounts etc.

ya when you do the trannny, and you do everything. you should get clutchline, clutch, flywheel, LSD, motor mounts. That will make your car drive like its a brand new macthine. Wont exactly give you ALOT of power, but the flywheel will make you rev easier, clutch will let u bang gears out more, you can grip much better and the motor mounts 100% eliminate wheel hope. Your 60ft time will be amazingly better. Buildint your tranny up first like that is a really good foundation, but you should do HP gains to right when your done that.

I wasn't planning on the LSD but I was planning on the clutch, flywheel, clutchline, motor mounts, and solid shifter bushings all at once. I figure it's a good way to drop $1500. Do you really think the LSD is really worth another $1300. $1500 to $2800 is a big jump.

if you plan on going turbo, absolutly... already got the tranny apart, save the 300 dollars in labor... if your NOT going turbo, than nah, save the 1300.

all NA ralliarts get decent traction, no use for an LSD. But when your turbo and your roasted all of first and 2nd, and half or 3rd, ya its time to get both wheels a turnin.

Waiting for my RRM flywheel to arrive so I can mount it. My friend already installed just the cltch and is REALLY good, he sprays 75 shot and it holds like it is nothing on RA-1s, actually the cltch holds so much that it lights them up the whole 1st and second gears

Im just hoping to rev easier and shift faster, I heard flywheels cut back your top end, but im willing to find out
