Engine Misfire

My engine Misfires at low RPM most likely do to running a little rich. It gets bad after really high speeds for long periods of time. I was just wondering, how bad is misfiring for a car? Does it ruin the engine after a while? I know that I lose power when my engine is misfiring, but I am worried that I am also damaging the engine. Please note that these are not loud misfires, but more like little vibrations, and some times my engine light goes on telling me that I have multiple misfires. I will be leaning out my car soon, but I'm just wondering if I should stop driving until I fix this problem.

Sounds like you're having a similar problem to me, even though you're turbo.

My engine doesn't hesitate though. It kinda vibrates softly. It's almost like a stall vibrate, but not as rough. I know it's a misfire because my engine light goes on some times telling me that it's a misfire.

Hrm, check the basics on your ignition system then, plugs and coils, and go from there. Does the misfire code tell you which cylinder or is it a random misfire code?

Sometimes random, sometimes cylinder 3. I have a feeling that it is because I am running rich. I will go change it, but I just want to know if those misfires are damaging my engine. I tried to google some info on that, but they only tell me causes of misfire, not really what concenquences it has on my engine.

Won't damage your engine. Consequences are lost power, wasted fuel, and shortening the life of your cat, if you have one.
