Misfire?
Misfire?
Hey guys!
I am having a problem with my 03 Lancer. Whenever I start the car, it feels like it misfires and the car jerks as I slowly accelerate. The only time I feel the jerking (or misfire) is when the car is idle. A few years back I had a problem with misfires due to my coil pack. Also when I check for codes nothing shows up as a problem, so I am REALLY confused as to what to do here.
My question is, what should I do to diagnose a car that seems to be misfiring. A friend of mines said that it could be due to bad spark plug wires, but how do I know if my spark plug wires are bad?
Thanks

Do you have a spark tester? (Really the only way to visually test for spark)

Well if you do not have any spark it will not light up and at that time you can start at the wires, but unless something happened it is not common for wires to just go out randomly.
