My CEL still insists on annoying me after my CAI install a few months back. However, sometimes the light goes off. I'd say it's on maybe 70% of the time, and then it decides to turn for a while. We've smoked everything, resealed everything, bought new MAF sensors, all of it. No luck. I have heard though that some air filters are oiled and some of it may get drawn in and ruin the sensor. Any thoughts?

 

Did you get the code checked? What code is setting the check engine light?

 

are you tuning the car, or just adding parts with no way to change your AFR?

 

I started getting the "System too lean" ( P0171? ) code after I installed my CAI. I was able to tune to compensate for it with the RRM Piggy. Code and CEL have not returned.

 

Get MAF cleaner and see if that helps. CRC? Cleaner? Red can.
