I don't understand the CAI thing with these cars, we have intercoolers...
yeah its a risk but regardless of intercooler colder air in means colder air out.. I have tested it 1st hand and seen 25whp with a cold air intake over filter direct on the turbo..

Yeah K+N made those socks for four wheelers and they do work like magic. I had a stall out in my 04 RA from a sneaky(huge pot hole coverd in water) puddle to. They car went glug, sputter, stall in a hurry lucky for me it was close to home and I shot a dash of carb cleaner in the plugs and let it sit for about 10 min and she fired wright back up.

At least I get to see our rods aint as long as I thought they were, skinny rods at that. That on on the end looks as it can pretty much perforate the block, I assume it did

maybe not the head(probably though), but I am sure the valves were screwed looking at the damage to the piston rods

I thought you had AEM's By-pass valve?

Which is why I don't have one on my RRM CAI ...

Ah didn't know your by-pass broke otter. The other night I had a night mare. My car was trapped around water and I had to drive it through some standing water, not knowing how deep it was... I woke up before I got to the other side though... so I don't know what happened

I came awfully damn close to hydrolocking mine aswell, in fact, the water destroyed the MAF sensor

Look at the sludge around the rings. someone needs more oil changes in the future...

Yeah, Im surprised how small the rods are as well... I'd imagine the head to be ok, may need some new valves but the head should be just fine...

Time for low compression pistons and turbo now...
