Chattering sound from Tranny? (attn Otter)
In my case it's clutch chatter. Only happens when slipping the clutch to get moving in 1st, and gets better as the pressure plate and flywheel warm up.
I don't have the rattle otter is talking about.

I changed my clutch technique and that doesn't happen anymore for me
I just blip the throttle, start letting the cluth engage, then get on the throttle and let off the clutch at the same time and voila, the cars moving in 1st; no chatter.
I didn't notice how different my style is until today at the dyno, GDS slips his clutch to the point I was cringing in the back seat. my brother drives like that as well. I actually tried to change the way I drove the car because the clutch chatter was so bad, but I am sure alot of it has to do with my upgrades too
