In my case it's clutch chatter. Only happens when slipping the clutch to get moving in 1st, and gets better as the pressure plate and flywheel warm up.

I don't have the rattle otter is talking about.

I changed my clutch technique and that doesn't happen anymore for me I just blip the throttle, start letting the cluth engage, then get on the throttle and let off the clutch at the same time and voila, the cars moving in 1st; no chatter.

I didn't notice how different my style is until today at the dyno, GDS slips his clutch to the point I was cringing in the back seat. my brother drives like that as well. I actually tried to change the way I drove the car because the clutch chatter was so bad, but I am sure alot of it has to do with my upgrades too

I used to slip the clutch more until my stock one developed its chatter. Since then I drive just like you do, no chatter, even if it isn't quite as smooth for the passengers.

yea my passengers get a good amount of whip lash in my car.. its a given.
