I think the trouble is you won't find a datasheet for that unit available online. The chip was made before mitsu stopped making them and all the manufacture went over the renesas. I do not believe it was ever really offered for sale to the public and it didn't last very long before being supersceded by the newer technology.

The processor is CAN capable but they did not implement CAN until the later models which means if you crack one you have some significant work to crack the other. Fortunately it appears to share the same code base with the new model EVO so I suspect a reflash for the '09 ralliart will be trivial. I haven't looked at that yet since I'm busy working on the Honda K series stuff.

If you need any help or know of anything that I can read in order to help out, let me know. I really want to try and give this whole project a kick in the ***. I've got threads going on openecu.org and club4g.org.

Hello again

So at all !

Lancer Ralliart MH8202F and OBDII
Eclipse 4G MH8302F and canbus
Outlander turbo MH8202F and canbus too

None of them compatible with the Ecuflash because these chips are not the H8 series these are the Renesas M32R chip ??

Picture about my ecu :

http://forums.openecu.org/download/f...7f308c64cb9818

http://forums.openecu.org/download/f...7f308c64cb9818

similiar as on the page #6 the eclipse 4g and lancer ralliart ecu :S

What about the Evo 8-9-X ecus ? The numbers are near the same.. MH830.. MH820.. what kind of chips they are why flashable?
Lancer EVO 8 265CV MH8206F
Lancer EVO 9 280Cv MH8306F
Lancer EVO X 300Cv MH8306F
Lancer EVO 7/8/9 ECU ACD/AYC MH7203F coming soon

How does an Evo 8 and Evo 6 and Evo X ecu look inside ? Any picture ?

Thank You, Gergo

Sometimes when you do work on these things you have to pay large sums of money to get the correct datasheets. I've been saying for a long time that these ECUs have very little in common with the EVO stuff out there. Ultimately I invested the time to figure it out and that's how we managed to reflash them.

It's like sticking an old school Mac program in a PC and trying to run it. Two entirely different pieces of hardware. It's like PowerPC versus Intel

Well not really because the difference is in the instruction sets or in your analogy the way the data is encoded. The ECU doesn't care what data is written to it until you try to run it Maybe some of the young pups here don't remember the old toaster macs

I still have a VIC-20 here at the shop... in a box somewhere. I just can't bear to throw it out. Got gorf and space invaders or something like that too.
