Clutch
Mr.B...sounds like the cause of the problem is between the steering wheel and the seat. lol. no offense, but your clutch being cooked (according to the dealer so we're assuming they arent feeding you a line to get you to buy a clutch in this slow time of year), second gear and now third gear being done...either you've got a lemon or you are the cause to all of this. again, no offense but thats just how i see it. my 04 RA has 110 000km on it. lady driven for the first 50 000km of its life then i picked it up. i dont babie it all the time, but i dont beat the crap out of it and my clutch feels to me like its on the verge of going now, but other people say im just paranoid. I can smell what smells like clutch or brakes on occasion, but i do have a wheel bearing and front brake issue right now so im gonna assume its not the clutch im smelling anyways. no gears grind, ever. last winter it was hard to shift when cold, but a gear oil change (performed by yours truely with mitsu gear oil) fixed that right up. im just hoping my clutch will hold out until the 09 Ralliart comes out. anyways what im saying is you cant kick the **** out of a car all the time and expect it to hold up forever. it doesnt hurt them once in a while to get on it, and its so much fun too, i wont lie. but is it really worth all the money, hastle, and time with your car in the shop (if you dont do your own repairs) for the amount of pleasure you get from beating it up? at work we have this customer who has a celica GTS 6speed. she beats the living crap out of the car, without exception. she never takes it easy, ever. she had a noise, so she took one of the apprentices for a ride, he said they were just trying to go slow and hear a noies, but still she revs the engine and side steps the clutch and then complains when her clutch only lasted 30 000km. (and we even warrantied it for her lol)

I bought mine before I knew how to drive manual. I had the dealer teach me how (in my new car). At 30k mi I developed a squeak from the clutch like those previously mentioned here. I had the dealer inspect it and they said the whole clutch assembly needed replaced. A few months later the clutch broke completely. I couldn't afford dealer prices so I bought the Works stage 2 clutch and flywheel. I towed it to a shop and asked them to install everything. When I picked the car up, they said they clutch looked great, the only thing that was wrong with the car was the throwout bearing.
I've also had grind problems shifting into 3rd above 3000 rpms. That disappeared completely when I put better fluids in the transmission.

MAnudata, we both (RAs) did, he has an ACT 6 puck disc and a stock pressure plate. I sport the same disc but with a street pressure plate. I think they are 4g64 parts
BM synchromesh and Royal Purple's synchroshift, great oils for your tranny

Also the grinding started under normal driving conditions shifting at 2500 to 3000 rmp on the car. If thats to high to shift gears with out it grinding then there are more problems then meets the eye. When second gear did it, It was the same thing it grinds beteen 2500 and 3000. no problem with second adter they replaced the syncro, and I don;t drive any different now then then, Second gear was done at just under 1000k. I don't think it me but o well.
I havent buy any clutch, cause I dont want a "bronze" because that clutch + me, is not a good combination for my tranny
I was going to buy a Clutchmasters stage 1, but then what if its not what im looking for?, i mean last time I put a stage 1 clutch on one of my cars, it SUCK so bad, it was worst than the one I took out! hahah
I dont think that will happen , but maybe its not as good as I might want
AND! people are killing me with shipping prices!!
the stock pressure plate with a "bronce" sounds good, but im not sure!, I might eat my flywheel !!! hehehe
HELP PEOPLE WHAT TO DO NOW!?
At least I want a clutch that F*ck my tires when shifting to 3rd!, will a CM Stg1 be enough??
