Question CMC help please

hey i recently had a leak on my Clutch Master Cylinder and went and bought a new one and after finding the DIY guide here i ran into a problem.

when it came to bleeding the system. I had my friend push the clutch while i opened and closed the valve on the slave cylinder and the same thing happend every time it would let out a little air and maybe a few bubbles of the fluid but thats it, and when it came time to repeat the process to firm up the peddle, the next time i opened the valve nothing happend no air no nothing. and the peddles still soft as a feather. ive been going at it about 2 hours any ideas.help?

o and i also made sure everything was filled, and made sure the bolts to the clutch lines were tight and connected correctly

Or even do what I do and crack the bleeder open about 1/2 - 3/4 turn, and just put the pad of your thumb over the hole, and have someone pump the pedal. Just aim the spray down.

I've never had a problem getting all the air out of a brake or clutch line bleeding them in this way.

Make sure the brake fluid reservoir is OVERFILLED. Fill it to the brim. It's likely the CMC isn't getting any fluid.

that's not a bad idea. I bought a vacuum thingymabob to assist my bleeding. it's the cheapo "HELP" brand, but it worked well enough to pull the old fluid out (I finished up with manual bleeding to be sure there were no issues using the vacuum tool )

well i did the pump the pedal and i did it for about 4 hours yesterday, and still air bubbles.does it take that long? could there be something wrong with the slave cylinder? and also the reservoir was filled to the max line, and it hasn't moved at all.

the inlet for the slave is on the back of the master reservoir. you have to refill it pretty much every time you open the bleeder so it doesn't suck air in. go slow.
