small piggyback ecu problem

I just installed my piggyback ECU on my 06 RA AT. The connections are fine, I soldered the cut wire, and used the connectors given by RRM for the other 3 wires. I followed the instructions letting the car idle and driving it conservatively.

However, after a day the car seems to be revving by itself when idling. Is this normal? It is revving up to 1000-1500 randomly.

My car only has an injen CAI and RRM pulley installed. Is it just that it isn't tuned correctly for my car and that the sensor for airflow is off? What can I do to fix this?

Did you reset the ECU?

I think most RA had always had that idle from around 1000 to 1500, but only for a few minutes after startup. I've noticed also that my car also does that from time to time long after warming up. Regardless of it, I also suggest that you reset your ECU.

rule of thumb, after and kind of modification, whether it be electrical, bolt on, or even a bumper sticker, ALWAYS reset your ecu after the install!

no, but after you let it idle, did you drive it very conservatively never going into WOT, and keeping it under 3k rpm for 15 mins?

yup i did that and then when i started it up later that day to go to work i noticed that it was doing this... i can try to reset it again, but i bet it will still be the same since i did everything correctly the first time. any other ideas?

oh it seems that after driving for a bit it stops, or its at least not as noticeable.
