Performance Upgrades for 2.4 Mivec

Just wondering if the 2.4 Mivec has been used in anything before, and if there are currently upgrades available for it. If not I wonder how long RRM will take to do some R&D on it....

Hasn't been used until now. Going to be interesting seeing that in the LRA (Lancer Ralliart) and the Galant base model.

Get me one! MMSA offered me one but it was an automatic. That is all they seem to have in the press fleet right now. We will get on it asap! Have some interesting ideas already based on the research I have done.

hopefully roadrace will make a better looking strut bar, and one that might evenly distribute the stress through a common plate between all 6 tower bolts, not just two. and maybe the heat shield on the intake will actually shield the engine side this time.

whew. sorry, just had to get that out.

don't get me wrong, rrm makes some EXCELLENT products, some of them just leave me scratching my head.

other than that, it looks like the 02-03 lancer intakes will fit the 2.4, as the stock intake looks to be the same size and position. not sure about exhausts, but my guess would be about the same. i'm hoping so anyhow, because maybe this will be like lighter fluid on the fire of our dying lancer aftermarket.

i definitely wasn't talking sh_t, just making an observation. it was never my intention to bash rrm or their products. in fact, i'm really glad that us lancers have a company like them that continue to focus so much on our car, while many companies continue to overlook us.

and yes ciaxtrin, i know the ralliart has that nice 3 point strut bar stock. it looks HOT.

however, assuming that it is a steel strut, that would be a perfect place for rrm to start and make maybe a titanium or lightweight strut replacement.

ROCK:

just a quick question, when you design your products, do you use autocad or solidworks, or some other similar cad program? i only ask, because i'm working with both, and was planning on designing some parts for the lancer, which i would be more than happy to just give rrm for use or a source of ideas. let me know man. i can't wait to see what you do with the ralliart!
