For those with Transmission problems
For those of you with never ending transmission problems and for the dear of you can't figure it out, I may have an idea. There's TSB for our cars that's states replacement of the output shaft and reverse idler gear as the fixes. Now...that's essentially replacing the entire effin transmission. My output shaft snapped so i was screwed in the butt already.

Not sure how I just now came across this thread, but I find it ironic that the first time my tranny blew up it was the reverse idler gear that seized up, and the second time the output shaft shattered into 5 pieces...

I just read that TSB on the neutral rattle thing. I'll have to listen for that now, although I bet I would have heard it by now.
For those that had the issue, what did you experience? Hard gear shifts, noise, sloppiness?

I had no warning that it was going to fail... I had also just had my transmission rebuilt about 2 months before the shaft shattered. It sucked but the transmission guy covered it under his warranty so I didn't have to pay a dime to get it fixed :-)
