Request for Dyno Sheets
Request for Dyno Sheets
Hey guys. I just finished getting the new exhaust fabricated and installed, and the shop decided to go ahead and do three base pulls on the dyno as well. I'll have a link to the sheet and a sound clip up as soon as possible. My numbers were 161hp and 164ft-lbs at the wheels. My current mods are: AEM CAI (from RRM), RRM UDP, and a new custom exhaust (PM me for details on the exhaust).
I wanted to know what other people gained from mods or things of that nature. If you want to put sheets on here, you can just link it or put the sheet iteslf in the thread.

The cars whp is around 140-150 on dynos. Mustang dynos do give lower numbers but the guy running it can give you a good estimate on how it compares to other dynos.
170 is a bit high since the car does 162hp(flywheel)

Unfortunately, these runs were the first dyno runs this car has ever had. However, I trust Dave at Polk Performance, and he said that it was probably around 148-150 before the exhaust and about 135 before any mods. He also said that the car should be pushing near 200 hp at the crank.
This is a sheet from a cpl yrs ago. Mods at the time were Fujita CAI, RRE Header, RRM UDP, and stock exhaust. I plan on going in again before I start my turbo build to see what gains I got from adding the GT TB, Ported Intake Manifold (TB side only), and Catback Exhaust. I have to yet start mapping with my AEM F/IC actually it would be ideal to do two more dyno sessions to see what gains I get from my F/IC.

Post up that dyno sheet , 166hp/167lb-ft stock on a car that comes with only 162hp/162lb-ft, just seems to be well for lack of a better word impossible. Got some pictures of your car?
I do recall reading a comparison road test between a ralliart and an SE-R. The SE-R was supposed to be 175 hp compared to the 162 of the Ralliart, but the ralliart pulled more whp on the dyno.
Maybe the Nissan was overrated, or the Mitsu was underrated, or both. If the latter, then the numbers that are coming up here might make more sense.
My automatic probably makes more like 110-120 whp, but I like my gearing better.
The propblem with alot of dyno operators is they do a correction factor which can inflate numbers. To really see accurate number increases needs to be within same day (which never happens) conditions change and can raise or lower your output depending on temp and other things.
