Ok so I have an 04 Lancer Ralliart Edition and the thermostat is bad. The meter for the temp doesn't work so I know it's the thermostat. Can someone provide me a picture or a specific location of where this is so I can fix it. I have an idea of where it is but I want to make sure with a photo of some sort to refer to. All advice is useful and thankful. Appreciate it!

 

if your meter doesn't read, it's the gauge or the coolant temperature sensor...the thermostat doesn't read the temperature, it just controls the flow of coolant through the radiator...the coolant temperature probe/sensor is on the thermostat housing, the connector is just a quick disconnect single contact (metal tab), it's not like a plug or anything...it might even just be dirty or disconnected...
