Tranny oil spewing out, manual trans!

Started missing shifts a few weeks back, didnt think much of it just paid more attention and fully depressed the clutch. A week ago at a red light my rpms were jumping at idle and car shaking witch clutch pushed in, ... not good, clutch wouldnt fully disengage, super hard to get in gear, cant find em grind em. Made it home somehow, so ticked off just let it sit for a week, had to clean out the garage any how. Went to pull it in the garage last night and clutch felt good, everything normal, took it down the street a few shifts at 7k, and a few burnouts then heard something that mimicked a back fire or a cheapo blow off valve. Took it in the garage and is was leaking bad fromt the inspection cover, wasnt hot and was thick than brake fluid, sure enough at least 3 quarts came out. Im taking the trans back out this weekend but found it odd that the clutch seemed to grab just fine, I've felt a slipping clutch before and this wasnt the case. So hopefully its just a seal and no shrapnel.

hmm...i can't see you shredding gears with torque, but i hope a bearing didn't fail on you...how did the fluid get out from the inspection cover all of the sudden, any physical damage that you can see?

I had a similar issue with the transmission which i talked on this thread

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/04...erd-sound.html

Problem was related to the retainer rings from the axles being damaged and leaking the gear oil. It sounded bad like in the video and shifting was getting harder.

got the easy stuff done, not just have to take half shafts out, undo the mounts, then unbolt the trans, so no real updates yet, it was shifting fine and making no noises besideds at 7k + rpm so I hope not to find any crazy damage

update, ACT clutch let me down, broke a finger on my pressure plate. Broken pieces thrashed around and punched a hole in my bellhouse, think it was fine on my way home but when I did a quick test drive it must have dislodged and got worse. Taking out the trans this time in my garage and not in a shop wasnt bad but I couldnt get the drivers side halfshaft out, think I used a special slide hammer last time. It would be so much easier if the diff wasnt in the way or the cradel wasnt in the way, or if the trans mount studs werent there. So Im pretty pissed and doubt ACT will do anything for me. I found a cheap trans but its in TX and he wont sell just the bellhouse

if you look at the input shaft its down at the 8 o clock position, all the fluid is already out, throw out bearing and seal all look good

ill post pics later, it punched through the aluminum, just used the input shaft as a reference to being like the center of a clock, if the seal was leaking it wouldnt leak all fluid just some of it.
