I have a 4-2-1 header set up, no cat, 22" magnaflow resonator and magnaflow axle back exhaust. It can be loud but the resonator really helped to deepen the tone.

Do we not have a factory resonator after the cat where the piping widens?

Yes there is a factory resonator but it's only around 12" and in your case it's 9 years old , and most likely makes more noise than it deadens.

What header do u have? cause i have a magnaflow catback and have been thinking about getting a header downpipe and getting a cat put into it. But ive been told the RRM / RPW are not that great and i dunno what sort of cost a custom would set me back.

that could be the heat shield on the downpipe man, my magnaflow sounded a bit tingy at first but after a few oil changes and kms it sounds way better not as deep as i would like tho.

Haha I didn't break about 2500 rpm for a good 3 weeks.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to slap a "because racecar" decal on your back window

I got a hiflow and muffler installed and it quietened it down a good amount.

I have a video of my exhaust up from when it was still relatively fresh. It's calmed down since then.
Hahahaha I put a because racecar sticker on my car just to be an *** lol. Also a I h8 honduh one. Anyway before my motor went pop i ran the rrm dp with straight pipe to an wicked flow muffler. Was loud as hell but was not to raspy. It actually sounded more raspy when setting in the car but I had a friedn do a couple drive bys and it sounded fine from outside..

This is pretty much my experience exactly except I also put a resonator along with the high flow cat/muffler. No rasp anymore, sounds deep and good. It's still loud at WOT but racecar loud is what I've been told.
