Is going catless worth it?

In my IX gsr I currently have a 3" catback greddy exhaust, I'm thinking about getting this 3" invidia catless downpipe, but how much gains will I get? Is it worth it?

Well for one there's no cat in any Evo downpipe, so all Evo downpipe's are catless. But getting a test pipe, which replaces the catalytic converter, is a cheap mod that'll gain you power and free up some spool. Expect 10-15whp depending on other mods/boost.

Catalytic converters are hard on turbo cars; they like to breathe. as mentioned above, the car will make more power all the way around.
it's not necessary, but very helpful. if i lived somewhere with no smog laws, it would be a no-brainer. if you do, then it's just four bolts to swap back when needed.
just never, ever, ever get rid of the cat. you don't wanna replace that thing LOL

on a side note: they are trying to make big rigs run cats and they keep blowing up. LOL

our cars don't have that kind of output.. but still.

Okay that makes sense, and I'll probably end up getting the 3" downpipe Anyway in the process of removing the cat just so my whole exhaust is 3" and for the little bit of power, but will I need test pipe to put in the empty spot where the cat was? Or do I just forget the down pipe and only use the test pipe... Lol I'm lost 😝

Yes, it will be a seperate pipe. However DC Sports makes a downpipe/test pipe combo.

Yes unfortunately I still have my cat but I might be keeping it, because I'm willing to pay the money for the test tube and down pipe etc, but I do not have my own Ecu tuner and there's no way I'm paying 500 for a dyno tune, so I'm sort of stuck
