Okay so i finally got the new evo 8 CMC installed and it took entirely way too long. I have a question though that I'm hoping you all can help me with. When I press my clutch pedal all the way down, I hear a single squishing noise. It happens every time I press on the clutch pedal. I completely bled the system and there is no air coming out.

I tried adjusting the clutch pedal engagement point and had no luck with that. I adjusted it to travel a short distance and still had the noise. I then adjusted it for a longer engagement point and still had the noise. The car is running and shifting perfectly but I'm wondering if that noise means that there may an additional problem that might cause my new CMC to go out soon. Any ideas as to what may be causing this noise?

if it's working ok, it should be fine....i would bleed more if it was me, but if you're sure it's disengaging then it's fine...squish is hard to determine, maybe it's a squeak, lol

Upload your images to Imageshack (or a similar place).

Then look at the uploaded images (click on "My Images").

Click on one to select it.

Then on the right side of the screen select "Get Direct Links". A window will appear with an address in it. Copy and paste that address into the evom thread you are creating.
Example: hxxp://imageshack.us/a/img28/8963/61r2.jpg
(Note: I changed the two 't's to x's so it doesn't act as a real link for this example).

Now simply add to the end of it.
Example:

Preview your post. the pic should come up!

To add another different pic, deselect your first one, then do this all over again.

Try squeezing the rubber boot on the clutch slave cylinder. See if any oil comes out.

I had the same problem with my RA, changed the CMC to realize the slave also went at the same time, so I had to rebuild the slave using another car's piston.

I couldn't see any evidence but as soon as I squeezed it, I could feel it was completely full of brake fluid.

I already tried that. There was not any fluid under the boot.

I used the piston out of a 2.0L 4 cylinder Mazda MX-6. Works flawlessly to this day.

Truth is, there is probably a ton of pistons that could work in the RA clutch slave.

If I were you, I'd take the piston out of the RA cylinder, then roam the scrapyard for any manual car that has about the same size cylinder. If you have a caliper, use it to find a cylinder with the same bore. Pull the piston out of it and put it in the RA's cylinder.

The MX-6 piston was different from the RA one, but it still worked.

I have a thread somewhere explaining the differences and things to look out for.

DO NOT SCRAPE THE INSIDE OF THE CYLINDER TRYING TO PULL THE PISTON OUT.

If you do that, you will have an endlessly leaking slave cylinder.
