hey. I recently encountered this problem when shifting from 2nd to 3rd at high rpm. I get a bit of a grind going into third from second but only at high rpm, shifts perfect just casual driving. anyone had this problem and found a fix?

 

When was the last time the tranny fluid was changed? I'd start there.

 

go to RTMRacing.com and search Redline MTL, buy 3 quarts and change the fluid. transmission take 2.3 quarts but 2.5 will be fine, which is easy if you only jack the front end. i like to over-fill slightly...

MTL is perfect for all-season driving, doesn't get too thick in the winter and performs very good even when it's very hot.

i had a wickid grind and since i switched to redline, i haven't had a problem shifting quickly at 7300 rpm.

 

I figured it could be a fluid issue, syncro slipping slightly and not matching gear speed. I will definitely try changing out the fluid.
