05 ralliart clutch problems>>need help!!!

I have an 05 ralliart. Recently while stopped at a red light my clutch stopped working. It still felt right having a little pressure but i could not shift into gear. I finally managed to get it in gear and drive home. I parked it behind my house and a few days later when i went to go try it again the clutch stopped working completly. There is no pressure or anything in the pedal and i cannot get it in gear. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong could it be something with the hydrolic fluid or do i need a new clutch?

is it doing this? I just had the same issue in my evo x and it was the clutch master cylinder. they are junk stock. they are made of plastic. it's costing me about $300 to get it fixed. ams has a aluminum/steel upgrade and its like $390somethin on there site.

****, this morning on the way home from work I couldn't shift into gear either. I was like wtf, the light was green and I couldn't get it into gear. I pressed the clutch a few times and it finally went into gear...I'll check it out this weekend.

is there clutch pressure? if the clutch hydraulic system has failed, you'll feel it...the pedal will be floppy.

Well the clutch feels very soft so floppy as you say, as if I can blow on it and it will move. So you think it's the master or slave cylinder or even both? My job has a Napa parts store so we get like 50% off all parts so I'm gonna stop by in the morning and talk to one of our mechanics at the job.

have a look at them while someone pushes the clutch...

a failured, or leak in the master, slave, or even the lines and couplers will all have the same end result

Cool thanks, do you happen to know what size the bolts and stuff are to remove the slave cylinder which I'm hoping it is? Just wanna make sure my tool kit has the right sizes before I get over there in the morning. Slave cylinder seems like a 15 minute job, the others not so much. That's why I like these cars, stuff is easy to work on most of the time.

I love you Cranswick! Got the part and installed it per the instructions it came with and now the car shifts just like the day I bought it! Spent $30 and about 30 minutes and now I'm back in business. I was dreading having to drive my girls mazda 3 to work haha. Thanks for the help.
