2005 RA Shifting hard into 3rd (AUTO)
Hey guys im new here, I looked all over this part of the forum for a answer and couldn't find anything. well I just replaced my entire auto tranny today. I cleared out the standard shift pattern on the computer to relearn a shift pattern, and went for a test drive. well the transmission shifts fine from 1st-2nd and then it shifts really hard into 3rd and 4th is fine. Ive done the test drive and shift pattern relearn several times to see if there is any changes. and there aint none. what could be the problem? I got the tranny for 225 from a used parts dealer it has 84,xxx miles on it. I put ATF +4 in the tranny 8.10 quarts like mitchells says to put in it. all the connectors are fine and plugged in. mounts are fine as well. any kind of help would be very appreciated.
i hope that is the problem. but I have 2 transmissions now, it wouldn't hurt to rebuild it anyways. im gunna use parts from both transmissions along with a rebuild kit to make one brand new transmission with little to no miles on it. ima talk to a buddy of mine who manufactures tranny mounts and motor mounts and see if he cant make me solid tranny mounts. i have solid motors mounts already. btw crans how much did it cost you to get your stage 1 cv axels? is there any noticeable gains in handling with them or what?

$400 for the set, and they have no performance benefit whatsoever, the only benefit is that I don't snap them in half anymore
