Did you check, magnaflow or catco or walker for an OE replacement---these are not HF. On many cats magnaflow does a CA version--Nope didnt look for you specific car. recommending you do to see if its an option.

They make a CA universal for an 04 but not 05 so I assume they are the same but as we all know CA is retarded.

I used to take mine to a shady shop that passes it no matter what for a hundred bucks but last year I got a letter saying I needed to take it to a S.T.A.R. Shield certified shop or something like that. They're very strict.

I ended up getting my hands on a stock header/mid pipe and then paying a shop to finish off the exhaust with a universal cat and kept my aftermarket muffler. After they checked everything inside and out they passed me with no issues.

I would definitely call around first.
Called a few shops and they all reference CARB and it states no universals are non CA compliant for my make/model and to contact dealer.

Only reason I don't have a CEL is cuz I have the CEL eliminator bung on the rear O2 with out it it throws the code.
I was on the easy coast when I did it and never thought I'd move here but apparently life is funny like that.
Sorry it took so long for a reply. It's a magnaflow HFC. I'm not sure if it's a CA legal one or not. IIRC I got it from RRE and I'm not running an eliminator. I think you would be good to go if you got one but I can't promise you.
