Octane Booster?

I have the RRM Piggy Back ECU and wonder if octane booster will help it or is it optimized for 91 octane?

What does it say that it needs? Go with that fuel. Don't bother with any additives if it tells you the octane you need to run. Don't bother going higher than you need to, it is a waste of money.

They designed it for 91/93 octane, so a booster is unnecessary.

Those cans of octane boost are a waste. They'll say they raise your octane by so many points (eg. 3 points). That doesn't mean it'll turn your 91 octane gas into 94. It'll turn your 91 octane gas into 91.3.

Not worth it. :

Octane makes a much greater difference in turbo charged cars (EVO). If you are looking for an octane booster, avoid anything with MMT in it as it covers plugs and O2 sensors with a red film.

Have fun!

Thanks for all the replies. I only ask because RRM says quote:

Requires use of 91 or better octane fuel!

they say 91 or better cuz not every state has crappy 91 octane gas like us lucky Californians get.
