does anybody have a tachometer or shiftlight?
does anybody have a tachometer or shiftlight hooked up to their ralliart? if so did you tap into your coil pack? what wire is it?and on what cylinder is it?
smartass i am installing a shiftlight. but i need to know what wire to tap into in the coil pack. i asked the tech at the dealershipand he told me that it was the green wire in the #4 cylinder. so i hooked it up and it still didnt work.
I'd wait for the factory service manual to come out. I plan on buying one, and scanning it to .pdf format, and making it available for download, section by section. I have the manual for my Talon on CD, it's invaluable.
Wait, did I say that out loud? I mean, I plan on buying one, and just using it to service my own car.

I wouldnt get a shiftlight, its like cheating in away, thats just what I think. If you have a shiftlight down here, people call you a puss cause its like saying " hey look at me I dont know when to shift". Thats just my opinion, Dont get mad, I'm not calling you a puss or anything like that but Thats hows it like in my town.

Actually, shift lights are only useful when you are doing driving that requires your full attention like a road course. There is actually an optimal point to shift in every gear. It's not the same for each. The amount of torque you make at a particular RPM and the multiplication by that specific gear determine the point. A perfect example of this is 1st to 2nd. They are the two ratios that are farthest apart. It is better to hold 1st gear a little longer in this situation. Shift too early and you may not be in MIVEC after the shift. Unless a shiftlight can be configured for each gear, I find them utterly pointless.

Give me a bit, I'll keep searching around. I just remember that it cost about $150. It should be available from the dealership.
Alright, score, I found it. Actually, I found a lot. ALL the 2004 manuals, electrical stuff, and also the service CD that covers all 2004 models.
