I've always wanted a set of new seats in my car....i like sparco's...however, am not made of money. I want a good seat, but something i can afford. anyway, the cheapest seat they have is the Speed seat...here's the link...http://www.sparcousa.com/pseats_street.asp?id=316.

anyway, my question is, this seat doesn't look that good...is our stock seat better than it? id appreciate any thoughts, or comments. Secondly, if anyone has any other seat manufacturers that i should look at, let me know...and color combinations would be cool too..i have a phoenix red ralliart...i was thinking black seat...but maybe red? let me know...

 

i think they are ugly. But as far as quality goes, i have no idea. Buy a pair and write us a review!

I would find that extremely hard to get into... And plus i don't like the cupped feeling when i sit in cars

 

ehhhh, there ok. From looks alone... kinda plain. There's always ebay thou. Try other "namebrand' companies.

when you say 'better', what do you mean? Under hard corners and turns, those sparco's will definitely keep you better planted than our stock seats. But you lose the option of a reclining seat (you will be fixed 24-7 in those). Plus, those aren't designed for all-around comfort. They're made so you don't get jarred around in real race cars. I think you will be disappointed if you get those.

An option is to find a speed shop in your area that carries a bunch of different seats and try sitting in all of them to determine if you like them or not. Also, Sport Compact Car had an issue a while back where they reviewed about 100 types of racing seats in-depth. If you want a comfortable seat with better bolstering and planting than our RA seats, you'll most likely be looking at Recaros (EVO seats).
