Modify the bars, it will bolt right up. I explained this to your body shop guy clearly so I dont know what the reason is for you getting upset now.. They were in such a hurry to rush the body kit to the shop and get your car out of there.. he also told me that you would accept all responsibility in regards to this.. I think your body shop is in error just as they ordered the wrong hinges for your hood.. We accepted your apology then...

As soon as the two bars are removed it fits perfect OEM .

QOUTE :

dexterdizzle it should fit . . i had an original evo 8 bumper from a real evo and it almost bolted up perfect after the bar was gone. The headlights didnt match up along the sides so that was the main problem. Get them to paint it and then let me know. i dont work saturday so im going to do my headlight mod anyway. im blacking out the whole car lol. But yeah it should bolt right up after the bar is gone if they made a good product.

Please help him dexterdizzle. THANKS

FAQ ?

1 ) Why Does customer wants to buy a Evo 8 Kit for His Lancer ( Non Evolution Model )

Because he or she wants to make it look like the Evo 8

2 ) If the Evo 8 kit cannot be designed to look like the actual Evo 8 keeping the RE- BARS ( Designing a Evo 8 kit to have the rebar is like a total waste of time because the end product will not look like the evo 8. I mean then why sell a kit if it does not look like a Evo 8 ) best for us to design is without rebar because it it will very close to evo 8.

3) Customer buys a kit because he wants to make his lancer look like Evo 8 But cannot fix it with out removing the re-bar ( Grave Problem )

This mean we need to design kit which does not look like the Evo 8 ( REBAR STAYS) , but should be named as a Evo 8 kit and then sell it.

What are your guys opinion. Just let us know so we can go to the drawing board,

Do you guys prefer a kit which does not look like a Evo 8 or do you guys want a kit which looks almost similar.

Aaron, screw it... I think you should paint the parts, and dexterdizzle and I can help you out. Between the three of us, we can get it done right.

the point is yeah i didnt read the discalmers..so Its my fault for ordering the kit..also threads on here have mentioned this before..So ok its my fault in a way..but Accolade should make a kit that actually fits US models,Im just sayin this because I know when someone else makes em right everyones gonna buy em..and unless i find a way to have a new RE bar made then i will sell mine aswell..

ALSO how does mitsu install them on cars in the us if they void the warenty?

heres my question . . evos arent aloud in canada because they dont have a reinforcement bar right. . . But how is this kit aloud there since you have to remove the bar to put it on . . .

And to accolade . . you say you can make a evo 8 kit but the bar will be showing correct . . well then mesh will cover that . . .problem solved

no mesh won't cover it, just make it harder to see.. and on the site it says these kits are for off road use only, accolade takes no responability for what the consumer does to his/her vechicle...

Sorry jason, i was trying tell that ITS OEM FIT AFTER THE BARS HAVE BEEN REMOVED AS WE USE COMPANY CAD DETAILS TO CREATE THIS KITS.

ALSO JASON I DESIGNED THIS KIT SO ITS PRETTY DIFFICULT TO DESIGNB A E 8 kit with front bars on , it looked so ugly on the sketches, if you know what i mean, It look like a Duck Billed Platypus,

Any jason please help Aaron,

Also dexter, david was right, we have sold more Evo 8 kits in Canada than USA.

And thanks dexter for being very logical without bashing us, As you know the pratical side of it. Why we mean by OEM is the bumpers align with the car perfectly unlike other kits. Some kits to fix them you need two or three people to bend it to fix it to the car as its totally out of shape.

This silver car if lowered and fitted with 18 would look hot.

Also David and I designed this kit so that it look so orginal and not to show that it was kit which was fixed.
