of course we all want an evo. The RA works because its got a sporty ride and has decent speed. You can always make it look like an evo and it can get to be fast. Number one reason is you have a good car you can work with, but your car insurance doesn't sky rocket. I live in Minnesota, winters are hard on your car, we use salt on the roads so you would not want to use an evo in the winter, so you'd need a winter car too. $35,000 is a lot of money for a car. I'll keep my RA and keep adding things slowly, unless I win the lottery.

No offense, but the Insurance for an Evo probably isnt that much higher than on a RA. I live in colorado and the winters are hard here too.... we also use salt on the roads.... You wouldn't need a winter car here if you have an Evo.

The reason you got a RA was because you didnt have enough money for and evo....but you still wanted a tuner car that can still be used for everyday driving.....

The evo is the same (a tuner car that can be used for everyday driving) its just more expensive.

I got the RA because I wanted a sporty non-turbo compact car. It needed to be functional (4 doors, reasonable space) and quick. Non-turbo because I didn't need the insurance hike. I also knew that someday, if I really wanted, I could save up money and install a turbo.

why wouldnt you ride your evo in the winter? Clear bra it and it would be fine, i know of 6 people that leave theirs outside and there is no problems and with a clear-bra the car looks amazing to this day.... no reason not to its AWD comparded to FWD so it is superior to it in all ways IMO.

I got the RA cuz the sI, gt-s, specV just wasnt the total package. I would have liked to bought an evo, but than I couldnt get my dream car (Skyline GT-R), check my sig... hehe. Thing is, I wanted out of my o2 es, but still wanted the GT-R in the next 2-3 years. If I bought an evo, I couldnt afford to have 2 sports cars, so I got a RA because in its competition bracket, its the best overall car out, PERIOD. Than in o6-o7 I can have my skyline and still my RA.

I love the evo, but when it comes to a skyline... evo what, evo who?... lol.

I was actually looking to get a Maxima or an Acura 3.2. And then when I went to the dealership, I saw the RA in the showroom. After that it was over. My mom actually said why dont you get the RA. I looked at it and loved it. They had a black one in the showroom and it was so sexy. I didnt want black cause my previous car was black, so I got the Thunder Gray. Never been happier.

bought it cuz i wanted a decent mileage commuter car and a civic is too small and too slow.
only planned to keep it while i'm going to school, probably gonna get a bike in spring to satisfy speed cravings.

i wanted an sti, but it was kinda small and i didnt need awd since I was moving to FL at the time. the evo was nice and I had the $$, but, again, didnt need the awd and the power didnt justify the price (or the fact that i see 10 evos every day). i figured the RA had a bigger engine with a equally good design. if i needed the turbo, the extra 20% displacement would make it worth my wild and much cheaper than the evo. altho i do understand that i will go through front tires faster, its still worth it

but the evo is one of the only cars that can out perform the skyline. I would love to buy one, but I don't think they will be what they were (GT-R). We will get the new G35 nothing close to the GT-R
