I think we need some more info. how many miles on the car? Any mods done, and when? When does it do this exactly, like at a certain rpm? Is it really hesitating so bad that the whole car jerks?

my car is messed up

it usually happens when im accellerating fairly quickly, not launching, anywhere above 35 hundred and ive got 18 thousand on the odometer. the car is completely stock and all the maintenence has been done right on schedule but yes it stutters enough that i reach for the key and push the clutch in to get ready to start it again. its not my driving because this just started a couple days ago...

It may be because it's ****ing cold outside. The Ralliart doesn't like the cold, not one bit. As for the stutter, if it's doing that all the time, after the engine is warmed up, then it's probably something the dealer should take a look at under warranty.

i could also be because the car is so new and you are getting used to it so it doesnt feel like it has the same get up. i get that way with my systems sometimes they dont feel like they hit the same way it did when you first bought it

My car seems to be loosing power as well. I ahve been experiencing a strange noise around 3000-3500 rpm. Kind of like a whine that comes and goes. I first thought powertrain, took it to the dealer 3 or 4 times, they replaced the mivec valve, noise still there. I took another RA for a drive it had more Klm's then me and it had more punch to it for sure. I took it back again, and apparently my front cat converter is basically falling apart, hence the noise. They say that it could be clogged and that would be causing my lack of power, we will see tomorrow when I get it replaced. who knows...

Possibly heat soak from the short ram? You will lose power over time as the intake starts sucking in the hot air from the engine bay. My car was losing power too. I shook out the air filter, and that seemed to bring it back to life. These cars are hard up for air.

Either that, or you're just getting used to the performance of the car. It happens. Go get a rental Kia and take that out for a spin, then go back to the RA.

Let me tell you, my Ralliart felt DAMN fast when I came home after driving a beat up Daewoo rental with > 80k miles on it for two and a half weeks I never thought my car lost any power, but I'd definately gotten used to it.

I was a little scared driving that Daewoo on the highway at first. I got used to it after a little while, but I sure does feel much better to be back in my Ralliart now.
