well, i started last night with just drilling holes through the projectors and cutting holes through stainless steel bowls to make a shroud (cosmatic as well as to block out access lights that produce glare for oncoming traffic). the OEM (projectors and ballasts) i got from my local junkyard for a fair price, but you can find them anywhere online like ebay. tried to take some pics last night, but was having camera problems. so, will try again today. so far so good....knocking on wood.

PICS TO COME>>>HEHEHEHEHE, but to keep some of u guys who like to visually see things...here is a sneak peak before camara problem. the red crappy circle is where i drilled my holes through.

Hey Zeof, I am starting my E46 bixenon retro tommorow. I have the ZKW lens's from a 04 M3 With the "Xenon" etched Bezels. What material are you going to use to mount the projector to the back the housing?

I love these Bezels!

that sounds k....i like valeo too,but the one that i would be buying from was a h7 so i would have to buy or make an d2s adoptor for it.

anyway, i finish my retro this weekend....just need to aim them and hide the wires...other than that..i am all done. i will take pictures once the aiming is done and everything is nicely tuck away.

as for the bezel, i am using flange for that. and, for the shroud, i am using a ******* bowl. works perfect with a few modification here and there. the whole thing is blacked out.

one thing, i had to complian...man...taking out the bumper withour a garage and working only with the sunlight that you have for outside installing....sucks! other than that...it went very well.

good luck on your retro too! any questions, just leave one behind on this thread so future retroees can learn from us. hehehhehehehe
