ok, back on topic here, a lean code means too much air in relation to fuel...not a spark plug issue, that would be a rich code no? it may cause a misfire because of the lack of fuel, but the plugs have nothing to do with it. it may be because the ecu is recognizing the increase of air-flow from the intake as a lean a/f mixture, but that usually doesnt happen unless you try to go f/i without a pump and injectors, hence it may be a fuel delivery problem that just needs a minor adjustment...just a thought.
