Ralliart 1/4

OK, so Im taking the Ra to the track for the first time and I wanna know what time ill be looking for.

At least Ive seen over here on Stock setup:

15.5 @ 88

15.1 @ 91

15.6 @ 87

16.6 @ 86 automatic

Im taking it this thursday, maybe by that time my AEM intake comes in the mail, but I plan to run it Stock first to get a baseline and then start with the basic bolt ons to see the results later

what stock tires do you have? With the goodyears, expect a best of 15.2-15.4. With the Bridgestone's, expcet a best from 14.9-15.1. Also depends on how much experience you have, and how much experience you have with this car. good luck!

I'm running my first next week also. Should be interesting. Good luck.

*majik, I just looked at your time slips. Why would you expect him to run faster than you when you have all those mods? Or were the runs done before the mods?

and cause ive only been racing a few months. I'm sure someone with years of experience could do better. and yes, south florida isnt the best environment for racing. I dont think Ive seen a day with less than 70% humidity. and its over 80degrees 3/4 of the year =) however, puerto rico has that problem too!

if its your first time out, expect to barely break 16's on the goodyear tires.

I'm not worried about my car, I'm more worried about my reaction time and how I handle 1st gear. I guess I'll go with about 2500 rpms and see how it goes. Might test it out on an empty street too; just 1st gear.

I can't wait. Should be FUN.

Yeah I hope so too When mags measure auto 1/4, do they do brake torques? I'm guessing not, i'm sure some time could be made up by doing that "abuse"

That 16.6 was with a first time track driver, not torque braking. If I can hit a 2.0 60 feet I can dig into low 15s easy, but it depends on the "RAs on Ice" Goodyears contacting pretty good. But I know my track skills pretty well. You dont know how hard it is to launch a tuned Mirage to run 2.0 on 60 feet. I guess Ill just empty those damn tires to the wheel. ButIm pretty confident that I can hit below 15.5 if I can nail the 60 feet

I've read between 22 and 24 psi works well... haven't tried it yet myself.

ive seen a stock sportback get a 16.0 /w an automatic (are all sportsbacks auto?). so its doable, especially in the sedan. I dont think a 2.0 60' will be easty to hit in an auto tho. I havn't dont it /w my manual yet (2.2 is my best) and ive been working at it alot =)
