Exact same thing for us. My daughter thought she wanted the Eclipse until she drove it. She had the OZ at the time and didn't like the blind spots and wing in the back of the eclipse obstucting the view. So she tried a newer Lancer, and when we test drove the only Ralliart on the lot, it was instant love. I then had to teach my daughter how to drive a stick. She couldn't be any happier than she is today after putting on the RRM intake and exhaust.

I loved my '01 V8 Dodge Dakota!!! But the gas was killing me! I went to buy a SRT-4 but they were dealer marked up $3K!!! F'dat!

One test drive of the Ralli and the fact it got around 30mpg, and I was sold!

 

I got married last year and the 2 door del sol wasn't cutting it. The clutch all but went out on it. I had thought about a newer car before but the clutch cinched it. I drove an 02 spec V and really liked it. It was 4 door which satisfied the family function but it was sporty and fairly fast. It was a good compromise. Financing however fell through. I started doing research and found that the ralliart beat the specV 0-60 which really turned my head. I went over to mitsu to check it out. I wasn't hot on getting a new car but the financing was too good to pass up. The used specV would have cost me more over 5 years. I wasn't blown away by the power but it was a step up. (Hard to impress me with power. I rode in a Highly modded R-32 GTR in Japan). But it seemed to have everything my wife and I wanted. I traded in the Del Sol and drove the Ralliart home that night. I love my car. Especially because not many people have them.

 

after that spirit, i love my RA, and the fact that almost nobody knows about them, i like being one of teh only people with a lancer, the only one in my whole school of 1800 people too!
