Test drove RALLIART today!!

went to rick case mitsu in gwinette atlanta ga and test drove a base ralliart that was orange metalic in color..

Im coming from a 323i BMW with a slow 179 hp I6 engine that is supper smooth and reliable..

The ralliart looks great in person much better than any pic i have seen. pictures just cannot capture this car right at all..lol

So i do the walk around look in trunk engine bay etc. then he say hop in lets go see what it does.. i put it in drive and pressed the accelerator and damn the car jumped forward cause i did not know that it does not need to be pressed as had as my BMW teh throttle response was instant and strong very lively. So on some back roads it gets to 45 real quick with a nice sound then breaks well ... On the freeway i did not ever hit 4K rpms lol but the car was at 85 MPH too damn fast for me.. Smooth strong acceleration that kept pulling.. So then we excited and did the hairpin off ramp thing.. I took it at 65 mph and the car was planted and stable

Im sold .. i feel that the ralli art is perfect for me looks great performance is more than i need but not more than i can handle.. and its affordable..

They offered me the thing for 21K out the door..lol but i was not there to buy .. i have 12 months left to pay off the BMW.. but my next car will be a ralli art with sun and sound..

Glad you liked it. My test drive was met with disappointment.
Mainly the bulkiness of the car, the stupid transmission and the gigantor wheels turned me off.
Sticking with my 2004.

21k out the door is a great price for the RA, even a base model. I believe that the 0% APR should still be available, if you qualify, but I doubt that it will still be available 12 months from now. Hopefully, waiting pays off for you.

HUH? Wait.. wha?

Were you saying it would be $21k with the BMW trade-in or without?

Because if it's without, then that is a ridiculously good deal! I'll go sell my RX-8 next week.

After reading his post, I think it was $26k OTD. $5k for trade in. Still, to qualify for any sort of financing, you will need to have a job. If you can't verify employment after taking possession of the car, they will repo it.

yup they would charge me 24K flat for the car!! then i trade them my BMW for $5K which brings it down to $19K but I owe $8K on the BMW so the $3K balance will roll over onto the $19K bringing it up to $21K.. and i leave with the car..

But i have no job...lol so i have to wait..lol

if theyre selling you the car for 24k and you owe 8 on the bmw, but theyre giving you 5k then you would be buying the RA for 27k

^ I think your math is wrong...

(base price)24,000 - (trade in value)5,000 = 19,000
19,000 + (what's still owed on the BMW)3,000 = 21,000

Then again, you may see something I don't and my math could be wrong,

Edit:
I see how you came up with 27k.
24,000+8,000 = 32,000
32,000 - 5,000 = 27,000

Although, I think they would be subtracting the trade-in value first..then rolling the 3k that's left into the finance price.

no you cant add that whole $8K from the beamer .. you can only add the $3K of negative equity that will role onto the RA financing amount.. which means I will only be spending -

24k - 5K = 19K + $3k (nE) = $22k

but it dont matter cause i have no job

the way you are calculating it you are getting 11k for trade in. Your math is wrong. No matter how you look at it after they give you 5k towards your trade in you will still owe 3k, that 5k goes to pay off your beemer NOT towards your RA price (maybe for tax purposes but not TOTAL price) total would be the 24k plus the 3k balance after they pay 5k so 27k total. DetroitRA IS correct.
