This is correct.

But as he saids, it doesn't matter. Could be 21k..could be 27k...couldn't make a difference! . Good luck with your purchase 12 months from now, maybe there will be a 5spd by then (don't get your hopes up yet...).

DetroitRA IS correct.
From what I understand (that if he were to buy right then and there, which he clearly stated he is not), then the dealer would take over the beamer, payments and all. And they're going to give him 5k credit towards the purchase of the RA, and roll the remaining 3k into his financing as money still owed on the beamer.

Trade-ins are so confusing, I traded in my old car (which was fully paid off) and it STILL confused me at the financing desk. Don't think I'll ever do another trade-in again.

Trade-ins are too sketchy. You're usually better off selling it privately, although it is a bigger hassle.

But you are missing the fact that the $5K is not coming out of my pocket as new cost on the financing.. see what i mean only $3K is added to the cost of the RA..

If i have not trade i would only pay 24 out the door for the RA.. FACT that is what they offered me..

To be honest I went and drove a ralliart and the acceleration was strong. I have a evo IX MR and I was still impressed. I loved the car, until I took a turn. I was doing like 50 on an interchange ramp on the freeway I can easily do 80+ in my IX, and it felt loose. I felt like it could give at any second. I was kind of disappointed. I went and drove a MR X next and omg. That thing rides so darn smooth. I was gonna get one and everything was good til the GM of the store saw I had only been working for a month and a half since I got laid off. Long story short they will no longer finance me. Disappointed but oh well. Good luck getting ur RA.

Well obviously the RA is no Evo. Also, the stock tires kind of suck and are pretty narrow @ 215. You can close the gap a bit by changing the tires and moving up to something like 225 on the same rim.

Yeah yeah.. That's old news. Tires and swaybar upgrades are in order to bring the car up to it's proper place. It may never be an evo in the turns, but it'll have more in common with an evo than with a kia.

thats right they do add the 3k to the price of the car. they offered it to you for 24, youre car is worth 5 so the other 3 goes on top of the new loan. making it 27. i promise thats the way it would work. i used to sell honda toyota and nissans lol. even though it doesnt really matter cuz youre going to wait a year or so lol but just a little heads up for when youre ready to buy. its 24000 plus 8000 u owe minus the 5000 they are giving you for it 24+8-5=27 but when you make your purchase you will also owe less on your current car so that may help you in your purchase. good luck

I think you can be more definite than that -- the Ralliart will never be an Evo in turns. Period.

As for Kia, someone's got to be ready to step in to fill the crap-void left by Chrysler and GM -- you know, ever since Hyundai went all semi-respectable

ahhh ok that's a different ball of wax then. (When all is said and done he is getting much more then 5k for the beamer) I understand.

Typical dealer BS. Rick Case had an OB X on their lot for at least 6 months.
